Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Our Martial Arts program is truly a mixed Martial Arts program. We combine the best of traditional Okinawa/ Japanese Karate with western boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Tactical Street Self-Defense. The purpose of our mixed curriculum is to prepare you for all phases of combat and Self-Defense in realistic situations or competition.

Hopefully, you will never need to fight. However, if you find yourself in a bad situation, shouldn't you know how to protect yourself and your loved ones? Self-Defense is not only about handling physical danger, however. At Mizudo, we teach a second form of self-defense as well: internal. Our students learn to spot danger and avoid dangerous people, places and activities. Learning to avoid the need for physical confrontation is perhaps as valuable as being able to fight your way out of danger if you are forced to.

 





Kickboxing

Kickboxing incorporates an intense cardio workout with effective hand, knee, elbow, and foot techniques. Kickboxing enables you to protect yourself in stand-up confrontations before an attacker gets close enough to grab you.
